### MathML! Very educational post!

August 30th, 2004

Some people find it hard to believe that it’s very possible to have a page using a combination of MathML and XHTML while still being able to view the page in Internet Explorer (albeit not the math itself). Well, here it is... I present to you the ABC formula to resolve the value of $x$ where $a{x}^{2}+bx+c=0$ :

$$x=\frac{-b\pm \sqrt{{b}^{2}-4ac}}{2}$$Currently the only browsers (to my knowledge) supporting MathML are the Gecko-based browsers such as Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla, and Netscape, Camino, etc. So if you’re mathematically endowed, one more reason to Get Firefox :).

Note: this MathML was created using Open Math Edit.
